For churches & groups

Bring the chain to your whole parish.

Prayer Chain is free for every member, always. A parish subscription gives your community a chain of its own — your join code, your artwork, your moderation — and carries every approved request to every member's device at once.

No setup fee, no per-member charges, and nothing to install on your side.

Prayer Chain

Free for every member · one annual price for the parish

That's the subscription. Free for every member, one price for the parish.

What you get

A chain of your own, and the controls to run it

Your members download the same free app everyone else does. The subscription is what gives them a parish to belong to inside it.

Your own chain and join code

A private prayer chain for your parish alone, opened with a short code you share however you reach people — an email, your website, the bulletin, or a word after Mass. Nobody outside it can see a single request.

A moderation queue you control

Every member request lands in a queue for your administrators. Until one of them approves it, it stays that member's own private prayer.

Your logo and your colours

Upload your parish's artwork once. It appears on every member's sign-in screen and on every screen after it — including the notification that reaches their lock screen.

Straight to every member's device

The moment you approve something — a new request, or an update to one already on the chain — a notification appears on every member's device. The phone tree, without the phone tree, and without anyone staying up to make the calls.

A roster you manage

Approve who joins, hand administrator rights to people you trust, and keep the list of who is being prayed for tidy and current.

Reminders to pray

Members choose the times of day they'd like a nudge to pray. You decide how long a request stays on the chain — thirty days by default — so the list turns over instead of growing forever.

A week in the life

What it actually looks like

Nothing here takes an office more than a few taps. This is a real week on a parish chain, start to finish.

Sunday You share your join code with the parish.
Monday Members join. You approve them in a tap.
Tuesday Sarah asks the parish to pray for her mother's surgery.
Minutes later An administrator approves it.
That moment Every member's device is notified, and she is on their list.
If an update comes It reaches everyone who prayed, the same way.

Pricing

One price a year for the parish. Free for every member.

Bands count the people actually on your prayer chain — not your registered families, and not everyone in the directory. That number is almost always far smaller than a parish expects: even a parish of 1,500 families will often have well under a hundred people on its chain.

Small Group

Free

Up to 12 on the chain — one for each apostle. Enough for a family, a book club, or a small group.

Most parishes

Parish

$249/year

Up to 150 on the chain, with as many administrators as you need.

Large Parish

$449/year

Unlimited, for a very large chain or a multi-site parish.

Diocese

Let's talk

Reduced pricing across 25 parishes or more, invoiced together.

No setup fee · no per-member charges · invoiced once a year, with no contract and nothing that renews unless you say so

Not only churches

Your group, in your own words

Most chains are parishes, and the app speaks that way by default. But the word is yours to set — an AA chapter, a grief support group, a book club, a family. Wherever the app would say "parish", it says your word instead.

Questions parishes ask

The things worth knowing first

Who moderates the requests?

Whoever you make an administrator — most parishes use two or three: someone on staff and a couple of trusted volunteers. A member's request waits in their queue, and until one of them approves it, nobody else in the parish can see it at all.

How much work is this for the office?

On most days, none. Approving a request is one tap on a phone, and the daily reminders go out on their own. The busiest stretch is the first fortnight, while members are joining and being approved.

Where does our information live?

On a server we run and maintain. Your chain is sealed off from every other parish on Prayer Chain — nobody else can see your requests, your members' names, or your notes.

Nothing is sold, nothing is advertised against, and there is no feed or algorithm anywhere in the app.

What happens if we stop subscribing?

Your members keep the app, which costs them nothing — but your parish chain stops sending new requests. We will not delete anything without talking to you first, so if you need time or need your information back, ask.

Who counts as a member?

Only the people actually on your prayer chain: those who have joined with your code and been approved. Registered families, envelope numbers and directory entries have nothing to do with it.

Do our members have to pay for anything?

No. Prayer Chain is free for them to download and use, with nothing to buy inside it. The parish subscription is invoiced to the parish, and members never see a price.
